Finally Here

Road trips take us all over the country. We finished a long road trip a couple weeks ago, and enjoyed the sights and sounds of new places. Each leg of that journey ended with a, “Finally here.” We would rest, do an activity, and a then the next day, back at it.

I love how life is similar. Each of us has a journey that we are traveling on. For most of us, there is work, raising children, family activities like sports, and then we fall into bed each night. Unfortunately, it seems to me that all around me, the activity has no, “Finally here.” We should all make it a point to stop and evaluate the activity and where it is taking us. Soon enough the journey may end, and I hope that we are happy with where it led us.

My journey is ongoing but one step along it was putting all this in a book. Maybe one person will get it in their hands and see their trial inside mine, then be encouraged to take another step. It felt like some of my steps were overwhelming, and an encouraging word or event helped me. I hope to continue to encourage each person, but for now this is my next step, and it is “Finally Here!”
